How these numbers work

Each estimate combines today's rate for the loan type, principal and interest on a 30 year fixed term, estimated property taxes for the state, estimated homeowners insurance, mortgage insurance where the program requires it, and HOA dues when the listing has them. Conventional assumes 20% down, FHA assumes 3.5% down, and VA assumes $0 down for eligible veterans. Programs that don't fit a property are left off its page.
